Job summary

Banner Health Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. You will assist with clinical procedures, patient assessments, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operation.

The role requires flexibility to float to other Banner Health Urgent Care clinics within the surrounding area based on operational needs and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures and performs related tasks.
• Coordinates referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicates test results to patients.
