Epic Pain Management – Austin Location is seeking a reliable Urgent Care Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced setting. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with testing and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification required.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within company timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare Urgent Care patients for evaluation in a professional, timely, and compassionate manner.
• Verify patient identity using established procedures.
• Escort and room patients efficiently after front desk check-in.
• Obtain and document chief complaint and reason for visit.
• Document medical history, meds, allergies and social history per workflow.
• Record vital signs accurately and review for accuracy.
• Communicate abnormal findings to the licensed provider promptly.
• Assist with testing, injections, medications, wound care and basic procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention practices.
• Document all interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Support front desk duties as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
