Job summary

Carbon Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced, paperless urgent care setting. The role involves vitals, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and frontline reception duties. A DOT-ready skill set and BLS are required, with DOT certification reimbursement where needed.

The ideal candidate has an MA certification, 1+ year experience, and strong communication. Willingness to obtain DOT certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification and willingness to obtain DOT.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as wound care and incisions.
• Administer medications via multiple routes and perform EKGs.
• Conduct simple lab tests like urinalysis and rapid tests.
• Greet and assist front desk, manage receptionist duties.
