Urgency Room is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its multidisciplinary team in Minnesota. This role supports patient assessment, education, procedures, and care coordination to deliver a safe and patient-centered experience.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, documenting histories in the EMR, and assisting across procedures. Applicants should have CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA certs and BLS, with comfort in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification through CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA and ongoing maintenance.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong patient care, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and healthcare team with patient assessments, treatments, procedures, and patient education within role competency and scope.
• Prepare and assist patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information in the EMR.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to providers and care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, stocked, and patient-ready.
• Follow infection prevention practices, PPE requirements, and safety standards.
• Support clinic operations and patient care delivery.
