Qualifications

• Takes and records vital signs and chief complaint; documents pain scores.
• Assists with exams and minor in-office procedures including blood pressure, respiration, pulse, temperature, phlebotomies, ear irrigation and EKGs.
• Coordinates patient care: pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling; communicates test results to patient.
• Maintains medical records and billing information; ensures complete and accurate documentation.
• Maintains clean clinical environment; follows OSHA guidelines and sterilization procedures.
• Orders supplies and manages medication-related tasks as directed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and treatment; document vital signs and symptoms.
• Assist clinicians during procedures and manage patient flow through clinical process.
• Coordinate and manage tests, referrals and scheduling; communicate results to patients.
• Provide clerical support for patient notifications and medical records; assist with billing docs.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment; ensure proper disinfection and PPE usage.
• Support inventory management and medication orders as directed.
