Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam by recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures including blood pressure, temp, and phlebotomies.
• Coordinate patient care with referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicate test results.
• Provide clerical support for billing and records; maintain clean exam rooms and equipment.
• Order supplies and manage medication recalls and expirations.
• Develop and maintain communication with internal/external customers and support teams.
• Complete onboarding activities and training as directed.
• Interact with staff, clinicians, patients, and external contacts to support patient care.
