Banner Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff. The role includes patient preparation, assisting with exams and procedures, and clerical duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, handling referrals, and maintaining accurate medical records. A strong focus on patient experience, safety, and team collaboration is essential in a fast-paced Urgent Care environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certification or additional training must meet Meaningful use requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs and documenting chief complaint.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures and related duties.
• Coordinates and manages patient care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicates test results to patient.
• Provides clerical support and ensures complete medical records and accurate billing information.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proper disinfection of equipment and rooms.
• Orders supplies and assists with medication management as directed.
• Develops effective communication with patients and external/internal customers.
• Completes onboarding and simulation training as needed and works under supervision of providers.
• Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, and external contacts to prioritize and respond to patient needs.
