Job summary

Carbon Health in Marlboro Township, NJ is hiring a Primary Care Medical Assistant for a full-time, in-person role in our fast-paced, paperless urgent care setting. You’ll support clinicians with vitals, triage, rooming patients, and daily front-desk tasks while helping deliver patient-centered care.

You'll perform injections and wound care, run basic labs and EKGs, and pursue DOT testing certification. We value compassionate team players with MA certification and BLS, plus 1+ year experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and patient history; triage patients.
• Assist with procedures (incisions, drainage, wound care).
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages and EKGs.
• Conduct basic lab testing (urinalysis, pregnancy test, glucose, rapid tests).
• Manage front desk/reception duties as needed.
• Complete training and pursue DOT urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
