Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in an outpatient/Urgent Care setting. The MA will handle patient check-in, vital signs, history collection, and EMR documentation, while coordinating tests and procedures to ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have MA training or 1+ year of hands-on experience, strong communication, and basic computer skills; BLS and BAT/DOT certifications within 90 days will be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting with direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on patient experience.
• Clinical competency assessment and MA orientation required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• BAT and DOT certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and record vital signs.
• Perform medication reconciliation and document patient history.
• Navigate EPIC EMR and coordinate tests/procedures.
• Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians to support care.
