Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will manage vital signs, patient history, and medication reconciliation while supporting providers with EPIC EMR navigation and clinic flow.

Responsibilities include scheduling, processing medication requests, prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures. Some sites may require EKGs or phlebotomy, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with MA training or equivalent.
• Experience in direct patient care and clinical procedures preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and obtain vital signs and medication reconciliation.
• Collect patient history and document in the chart.
• Navigate EPIC EMR for scheduling and orders.
• Coordinate communications with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians.
• May perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections or other procedures as needed.
