BHMG Baptist Health Medical Group Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient clinic.

The role includes taking vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and supporting patient flow. Responsibilities also cover managing the EPIC EMR, scheduling appointments, processing medication requests, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting.
• Experience must include direct, hands-on patient care such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, injections).
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on patient experience.

Responsabilités

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation.
• Document patient medical history information.
• Navigate EPIC EMR system and coordinate with providers.
• Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians; uphold mission and values.
