Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care across Florida clinics. The role involves triage, vitals, phlebotomy, injections, and preparing treatment rooms, with emphasis on accurate charting and efficient patient flow.

Ideal candidates have MA/EMT/Paramedic/Radiologic Technologist training or an RMA/CMA designation, or 6 months of relevant experience, plus BLS and background screening clearance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or relevant program; or active RMA/CMA designation; or 6 months MA experience; or licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to pass Level II AHCA background screening.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on charts.
• Performing blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and basic lab work.
• Administering medications and vaccines under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms and guiding patients to exam rooms.
• Checking in/out patients, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.
