Job summary

HonorHealth Urgent Care - Tempe Mill Avenue in Tempe, AZ seeks a Medical Office Associate to support front desk operations, schedule patients, collect co-pays, verify information, and help maintain efficient patient flow under physician supervision.

The role requires MA training, a HS diploma, BLS certification, and 1 year in a medical setting. Benefits include a $2,500 sign-on bonus and certification exam reimbursement, with hours 7:00 am–7:30 pm and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Completion of a MA training program is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred with employer reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Support charge entry and collection of co-pays.
• Assist physician in maintaining patient flow and efficient office operation.
• Perform front office duties: scheduling, reception, telephone, data entry and chart prep.
• Obtain prior authorizations to ensure services are reimbursed.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacy and insurance providers, and coordinate with Billing/Revenue Cycle teams.
