Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Urgent Care Signal Butte location in Mesa, AZ. The role provides front and back office support, patient escorting, and room preparation in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing, with travel to other urgent care sites as needed. Training and BLS are required; a sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a MA training program is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and escorts patients to exam rooms; obtains brief history and takes vital signs.
• May travel to off-site locations for diagnostic testing and assist in physical exam components.
• May administer injections and TB testing under supervision.
• Performs venipuncture and CLIA‑waived lab tests; handles front office duties including reception, scheduling and chart maintenance.
• Organizes insurance authorizations and referrals; supports patient communications and care coordination.
