Job summary

HonorHealth Osborn Medical Office Building in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a Medical Assistant to provide general front and back office support in Primary Care. You will escort patients to exam rooms, maintain clean, stocked rooms, and assist providers with exams and procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA training program, with BLS certification and a Fingerprint Clearance Card. CMA certification preferred. Sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an MA training program or equivalent
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
• Escorts patients to the examining room and obtains brief history
• Performs vital signs including weight and temperature
• Administers injections and TB testing under physician order
• Performs venipuncture and CLIA-waived lab tests
• Maintains patient information and charts
• Handles front office duties: reception, scheduling, insurance forms
• Organizes insurance authorizations and referrals to case management
• Assists in exams and procedures as directed by providers
• May travel to off-site locations for diagnostic testing
