Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team. The role involves greeting patients, activating patient files, and supporting patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities include managing calls, checking in/out, handling insurance information and payments, and maintaining a professional and safe work environment. Prior medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR).
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for front-d desk operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and guide them through registration.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documents and complete daily callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients and assist clinical staff.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, post balances.
• Maintain a clean, professional work environment and adhere to safety procedures.
