Job summary

Sherwood Urgent Care in Batesville, AR seeks an experienced Medical Receptionist to greet patients, activate patient files, and support patients and medical staff. The role requires checking in/out patients, managing insurance information, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, professional front desk.

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend; PRN positions are available as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with basic computer software and EMR systems.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and direct them through registration.
• Answer phones, filing, scanning documents and complete daily patient callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients; support clinical staff and close the office after each shift.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, post balances, and complete phone sheets.
• Maintain a neat, professional environment and adhere to health and safety procedures.
