Job summary

American Family Care in Temple, TX, is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to evaluate and treat patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting. The provider will deliver compassionate care and collaborate with the clinic team.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification (ER/UC experience preferred).
• Active and current PA or NP licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state CDS certificate.
• Able to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat urgent care patients with non-life-threatening conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and refer to suitable facilities.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate for acute illness and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures within scope of practice.
• Explain diagnoses and follow-up care to patients.
• Complete and sign patient charts daily.
• Collaborate with clinic team to ensure quality care.
