Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our PRN urgent care team. You will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, performing exams, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with an active state license.
• 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care.
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D).
• Conduct comprehensive physicals including DOT and employment exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs).
• Counsel patients on care plans and preventive health.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation; collaborate with supervising physicians.
