Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Urgent Care clinic who provides direct and indirect patient care under the provider, assists with examinations, records vitals, and helps plan and implement patient care.

Requires High School/GED; completion of an accredited MA program preferred; active CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certification preferred or ABR-OE if MA unavailable. We offer competitive pay, benefits, PTO and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred in most states.
• Active MA certification preferred (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA) or ABR-OE if MA cert not available.

Responsibilities

• Under provider supervision, perform indirect/direct patient care.
• Record patient history and vital signs; assist with exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and provide instructions as directed.
• Administer medications as ordered; handle injections and topical medications.
