Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Urgent Care. The CMA provides direct and indirect patient care under the provider’s direction, documents patient needs, and assists with examinations and medication administration according to state guidelines.

This role requires High School/GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; active MA certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA or ABR-OE is required.

Qualifikationen

• High School/GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post-secondary education program is preferred.
• Active MA certification options include CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA; ABR-OE accepted if MA certification unavailable (SC exclusions).
• BLS certification required or preferred depending on location.

Aufgaben

• Adheres to legal responsibilities in Medical Assistant role.
• Identifies significant changes in patient condition and reports to the provider.
• Troubleshoots issues and escalates problems to provider or supervisor.
• Maintains standards of excellence in care in all interactions.
• Maintains clinical and administrative skills per competency guidelines.
• Shows patients to examination rooms and prepares them for the physician.
• Travels to other facilities as needed to support care.
