Job summary

Mercy Health in South Toledo is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Urgent Care and Occupational Health. The role supports providers with patient intake, vitals, injections, and medication administration, while maintaining accurate medical records.

You will assist with patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting, ensure safety standards, and help coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post-secondary program is preferred in some states.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the provider, perform clinical tasks including taking vitals, documenting patient information, and assisting with procedures.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure safe preparation and administration.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during visits in Urgent Care.
• Maintain clinical and administrative records and ensure accuracy in patient charts.
• Travel to support other facilities as needed and adjust hours to meet patient care needs.
