Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Urgent Care-Occupational Health. The role supports direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision, including vital signs, documentation, and medication administration. Travel to support providers may be required.

The schedule is 24 hours per week, Days/Afternoons. Requirements include High School/GED and CMA certification; licensure and prior MA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of externship or clinical lab training.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to legal responsibilities within Medical Assistant role.
• Identifies significant changes in patient condition and reports to provider.
• Troubleshoots issues and escalates to provider or supervisor.
• Maintains standards of care in interactions with patients and staff.
• Maintains clinical and administrative skills per competency guidelines.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare for the physician.
• Travel to other facilities as needed for providers.
