Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking aCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Urgent Care in Eastgate. The role provides direct and indirect patient care, under provider supervision, including vital signs, documentation and medication administration.

Ideal candidates hold a High School/GED and completed an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA/RMA/CCMA certifications are preferred. Travel between facilities may be required to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post-secondary program preferred.
• MA certifications (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) may be required or preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and triage under provider supervision.
• Record patient history, vital signs, and reason for visit.
• Administer medications as directed by physician; prepare injections.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing in compliance with lab procedures.
• Explain treatments and medications to patients and families; ensure accurate documentation.
