Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred in most states.
• Active MA certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA encouraged.
• BLS/CPR certification required for hire at specific locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care under supervision.
• Record patient vitals and chief complaints.
• Prepare exam rooms and supplies for physician visits.
• Administer medications as directed (oral, injections, topicals).
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests as directed.
• Document patient information accurately in records.
• Explain treatments and instructions to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas.
• Support administrative tasks and patient communication in a high-volume setting.
