Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Urgent Care at Eastgate. Under the provider's direction, you will assist with patient intake, vitals, and clerical tasks, and help prepare patients for examination.

The role requires CMA certification and completion of a post‑secondary medical assisting program; prior experience is preferred. You will support physicians with procedures, monitor supplies, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post‑secondary education program preferred (state variations noted).
• 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and document in medical records.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and report to the provider.
• Maintain clinical and administrative skills per competency guidelines.
