Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations, register patients in Epic, and assist in training staff across the network.

The role involves coordinating patient flow, scheduling, and assisting in clinical testing, with travel to SLUHN sites for onsite services as needed. High school diploma or MA program preferred; 3–5 years clinical experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program preferred or minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• Experience with medical terminology and prior experience working in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME effectively troubleshoot any problems that arise in the day-to-day functioning of the office.
• Acts as liaison between clinic staff and Practice Administrator.
• Maintains staff schedules and troubleshoots scheduling difficulties or special requests.
• Manages and maintains patient flow throughout urgent care clinic experience.
• Assists in training new staff and coverage as needed within the clinic.
• Travels throughout the Network for onsite services.
• Perform daily clinical functions and workflow including system registration, epic registration, pre-employment physicals, fit for duty and other testing as they relate to Care Now and Occupational Medicine Services.
