Job summary

UNC Health Urgent Care Raleigh is seeking Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join a busy, interdisciplinary team in Wake County, NC. Responsibilities include treating episodic illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site X-ray and point-of-care testing.

The role is full-time, shift-based, in a walk-in clinic setting serving patients 4 months and older. Ideal candidates hold an accredited PA or NP program and NC licensure (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• NC licensure or ability to obtain
• Experience in acute/urgent care preferred
• Care for patients 4 months of age and older
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; collaborate with team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Suturing and splinting procedures
• EPIC EMR Clinic experience

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team including RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs.
• Operate in clinics with on-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing.
• Walk-in clinics with a reservation and wait time system; provide efficient care.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have openings for Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA) OR Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County, North Carolina. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Employed positions with UNCHMG are a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 8 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system. We look forward to reviewing your application today!

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
