Job summary

UNC Health Urgent Care Wake County seeks a Full-time Nurse Practitioner to join an interdisciplinary team providing care for patients 4 months and older. You'll treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries, perform occupational health exams, and work with on-site imaging and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NC licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older.
• DOT Certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in an urgent care setting.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with an on-site X-Ray and point of care testing.

Description

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. These are employed positions with UNCHMG and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system.

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Work experiencein acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

• 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
• Plus, weekends & holidays
• Flexible, Fulltime Schedule
