Job summary

Frederick Health Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Urgent Care team in Frederick, MD. This full-time clinical role delivers high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

The APP will evaluate and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries, collaborate with physicians, and coordinate timely patient flow while upholding our care standards and patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program (NP) or PA program graduate
• Active Maryland license (or ability to obtain) and DEA + Maryland CDS license
• Current BLS certification
• Unrestricted license with no history of suspension or revocation
• Eligible for participation with all payers

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform common urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care, splinting).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Educate patients and provide discharge instructions with appropriate follow-up.
