• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of traffic flow theory.
• Experience with traffic simulation tools (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM); pedestrian simulation with Bentley LEGION.
• Understands GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Compiles and summarizes data with direction from more experienced staff.
• Reviews, prepares, and summarizes relevant research for review.
• Contributes to reports and assists in material preparation for presentations.

Responsibilities

• Researches and collects raw data, organizes, analyzes and provides review for projects.
• Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
• Assists project team with maps, exhibits, presentations, and reporting.
• Develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation projects.
• Prepares plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation projects.
• Assists in stakeholder and public participation processes.
• Maintains records and files for specific projects.
