Job summary

HNTB is seeking a planning-focused professional to support urban and transportation planning projects. The role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform planning decisions across multiple jurisdictions.

The candidate will assist with maps, exhibits, and presentations while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams from concept through project completion. A related bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
• Maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting support under supervision.
• Familiarity with GIS software and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Researches and collects raw data, organizes, analyzes and provides review of the data for use in projects and for further analysis.
• Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
• Assists project team members with development of maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting.
• Conducts research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning; develops conceptual planning alternatives.
• Prepares plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Assists in stakeholder and public participation process.
• Maintains records and files related to projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
