Job summary

Glenpool Conference Center is seeking a Streets and Parks Laborer to support maintenance of city streets, parks, signage, sidewalks, and related infrastructure. The role involves operating various equipment and providing responsive service to residents and visitors.

Essential duties include grass cutting, trench digging, building repairs, snow removal, and basic facility maintenance. Candidates should be able to work non-traditional hours and lift heavy loads as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating principles for light, medium, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to manage stress, organize work, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass and trim weeds on city property and parks.
• Dig flower beds and plant flowers.
• Clean buildings, wash windows, and empty trash cans.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
• Operate a backhoe to dig trenches.
• Drive truck and load debris onto truck.
• Repair streets and sidewalks with asphalt and cement.
• Remove snow and ice during winter months.
• Maintain and repair municipal facilities' plumbing and electrical systems.
• Repair or replace building brick, stone, and concrete.
• Maintain and repair wood parts of buildings.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Hand wash vehicles.
• Perform related tasks as required.
