The City of Glendale AZ is seeking a Service Worker to perform skilled and semi-skilled construction, maintenance, and repair work across multiple departments including Streets, Parks, and Solid Waste. The role involves operating various equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and interacting with residents while keeping facilities and public spaces well-maintained.

The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, follow schedules, and support teams in emergency situations.

Formación

• One year of experience in construction, maintenance, and repair work and/or in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment related to area of assignment.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints and maps.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic control procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Performs skilled and semi-skilled construction, maintenance and repair work such as repairing streets, laying concrete, carpentry, painting, plumbing, landscaping, and repair of specialized equipment.
• Operates light, medium, and heavy equipment including brush tractors, dump trucks, mowing and sweeping equipment, trucks, trailers, and (where required) CDL vehicles.
• Maintains daily work records and may perform basic data entry.
• Transports and sets up supplies and equipment and performs safety checks.
• Responds to citizen inquiries and resolves issues related to parks, streets, and public works facilities.
