Job summary

HNTB seeks a Planner I for Summer 2027 to join the Integrated Planning Solutions team. You will gather, analyze, and communicate data to support urban and transportation planning projects through maps, exhibits, and reports.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field, with proficiency in GIS and MS Office. Internship or planning exposure is a plus; teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Understands GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compiles and summarizes data with direction from more experienced staff.
Reviews, prepares, and summarizes relevant research for more experienced staff to review.

Responsibilities

Researches and collects raw data, organizes, analyzes and provides review of the data for use in projects and for further analysis.
Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
Assists project team members with maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting.
Conducts research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning and develops conceptual planning alternatives.
Performs tasks related to preparation and production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents.
Assists in stakeholder and public participation process.
Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
