Placements24 is seeking a Transportation Engineer for our client in Welkom, South Africa, to lead urban mobility projects, traffic studies, and road network designs.
You will work with urban planners and authorities to improve traffic flow, public transport, and non-motorized transport, using VISSIM/SIDRA and other tools.

Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
- Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA is required.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering, traffic analysis and road design.
Mansioni
- Conduct traffic impact assessments and demand forecasting.
- Develop transportation plans for urban and regional areas.
- Design road layouts, intersections, and traffic control systems.
- Use traffic modeling software (VISSIM, SIDRA) for analysis and design.
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
- Collaborate with urban planners and municipal authorities.
- Evaluate feasibility and impact of new transport infrastructure projects.
- Promote sustainable transport modes including cycling and public transit.
