Job summary

Camden City School District is seeking a Teacher - CAD to deliver high-quality instruction in computer-aided design and drafting. The CAD Teacher will lead planning and delivery, align lessons to CTE pathway standards, and work to improve student achievement through rigorous goals and data-driven instruction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and community partners, adherence to district policies, and ongoing professional development in a dynamic urban education setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering; strong preference.
• New Jersey Standard or Provisional Teaching Certificate in Drafting or Drafting and Design Technology Endorsement Code 2544.
• Prior CAD/CADD teaching experience; urban, high-poverty setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction in CAD/CADD.
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students and monitor progress.
• Plan and deliver content covering computer-aided design and drafting.
• Develop thorough lesson and long-term plans aligned to district goals.
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers to meet student needs.
• Continuously track student achievement data to inform instruction.
• Communicate progress to students, families and stakeholders.
