Job summary

Camden City School District invites qualified candidates for the position of Teacher – CAD. The CAD Teacher will lead classroom instruction in computer-aided design and drafting, delivering content knowledge and skills aligned to technical standards to prepare students for college and careers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering, NJ Drafting endorsement, prior CAD teaching experience, and the ability to teach in an urban setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering strongly preferred.
• New Jersey teaching certificate endorsement for Drafting or Design Technology required.
• Prior CAD/CADD teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching low-income urban students preferred.
• Hazardous Occupations endorsement or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction in CAD and drafting.
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students.
• Plan and deliver content aligned to CTE program and standards.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and progress.
• Collaborate with team to meet district CTE goals.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

New Jersey Standard or Provisional Teaching Certificate in Skilled Trades: Drafting or Drafting and Design Technology Endorsement Code 2544

Prior CAD/CADD teaching experience

Experience teaching low-income students in urban setting

Cooperative Education Coordinator-Hazardous Occupations endorsement

Background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
