Job summary

Uncommon Schools seeks a dedicated High School Science teacher to join a network of K-12 charter schools in urban communities. You will teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science, aiming to prepare students for AP coursework and college success.

Emphasis on inquiry, student discourse, and hands-on labs. You’ll collaborate with the Science department and grade-level teams to set goals, differentiate instruction, and engage families in supporting student learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with GPA 2.5+ by start of employment.
• Must meet MA licensure or MTEL requirements within first year.
• SEI endorsement required for EL teachers within first year of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science with AP-ready curriculum.
• Lead student discourse and hands-on labs to develop inquiry skills.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and families to align goals and strategies.
