Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in School Counseling (or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in a School Counseling role (3+ years preferred).
• Experience working in an urban school setting preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of academic and career counseling techniques and best practices.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with compassion and discretion.
• Proficiency in counseling/academic management software is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Academic Counseling: Provide individualized counseling to help students set goals, plan for graduation, and monitor progress.
• College and Career Planning: Guide college applications, explore options, and facilitate internships and financial aid resources.
• Social and Emotional Support: Offer counseling and crisis response to support student well‑being.
• Equity and Inclusion: Advocate for equitable access and foster inclusive school environment.
• Collaboration and Community Engagement: Partner with teachers, parents, and local organizations to support students and families.
