Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking two Planners to join the Dining Out NYC (DONYC) team. The role involves coordinating planning and policy with DOT units and City agencies, reviewing siting submissions from food service establishments, and conducting site visits to ensure design standards are met.

Selected candidates will prepare agreements, participate in studies, and recommend policies and procedures to advance the unit's mission.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
• Experience in community work or community centered activities related to the duties.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply with at least one year of qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and policy with DOT units and City agencies.
• Review siting submissions from food service establishments.
• Conduct site visits to assist with site plan development and ensure design standards.
• Prepare agreements for participating establishments.
• Conduct studies and prepare reports, analyses, and policy recommendations.
