The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking two City Planners to support concessions programs, special projects, and franchise operations citywide. You will assist with planning, coordination, and management of concessions, public toilet installations, and related programs while aiding the unit Director with contract management and database development.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, and are eligible to serve as City Planner or are

Qualifications

Master’s degree in city planning, urban planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, public administration or related field.
Bachelor’s degree plus one year of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning or equivalent combination.

Responsabilités

Assist with planning, coordination and management of concessions, including Plaza and Open Streets programs.
Support contract management, program tracking databases, electronic file management and community outreach.
Prepare and present to Community Boards and coordinate with Business Improvement Districts and private entities.
