Job summary

Huitt-Zollars is seeking a Civil Engineer EIT for our Phoenix office to support water, sewer, paving, and utility design for private and public developments. You will work under a Professional Engineer to develop experience toward licensure and deliver high-quality plans in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include plan prep for residential and commercial sites, collaboration with the design team, and ongoing professional development. BSCE and EIT track preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Capability to utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and construction plans.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Thorough attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans for private and public development projects.
• Assist design team and project managers with land development design.
• Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings.
• Respond to RFIs and assist with change orders and punch lists.
• Prepare due diligence reports and quantity take-offs and cost opinions.
• Produce graphic materials for presentations and documents.
