Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment projects under licensed engineers. You will prepare engineering designs and documents, gaining experience toward licensure while working on diverse municipal projects.

Join a collaborative team across offices in Texas and the Southwest. The role emphasizes accuracy, client communication, field observations, and professional development toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• EI or EIT certification required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering design software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 1+ year experience supporting water and wastewater treatment projects preferred.
• Commitment to professional development toward PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering efforts from design through construction for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet objectives, schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct field observations, site visits, and construction inspections under limited supervision.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
