The role covers water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage plans for private and public projects, and requires delivering high-quality designs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a BSCE, has 2+ years of civil engineering experience, and is pursuing the FE/EIT.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
• 2+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Capability to utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and construction plans.

• Design experience with underground utilities, paving, grading, and utilities.
• Experience producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports.

Responsibilities

Civil Engineering EIT - Urban Development

Role Description:

Huitt-Zollars has a full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer EIT at our Phoenix office. The Civil EIT will work directly with a Professional Engineer to develop professional technical expertise and knowledge necessary to fulfill the experience requirement for licensure as a Professional Engineer. Experience in both single-family and multi-family residential developments, in addition to commercial and/or industrial site development projects preferred. Responsibilities include plan preparation of water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage plans for private and public projects. The individual must be capable of and responsible for delivering a quality product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Position responsibilities will incrementally increase over time and with experience.

Duties:

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• May be required drive to visit client or project sites for short periods of time
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
