North Carolina State University is seeking a TRIO Upward Bound Tutor to assist high school students with academic skill building in core subjects. This temporary role supports multiple sites around the Raleigh area and requires availability on Wednesdays, with travel between sites.

Ideal candidates are college students or professionals able to demonstrate mastery of the academic subject and provide supportive tutoring in a busy high school environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have sufficient academic standing to provide tutorial assistance in high school standard course of study subjects.
• May be a college student or professional whose field of study is the academic subject or have experience and demonstrate mastery of subject through grade/curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist high school students in academic skill building for core curricula courses.
• Provide tutoring during scheduled sessions at multiple sites (e.g., Henderson, Louisburg, Wendell).
• Adapt tutoring to student needs and course requirements; track progress.
