Job summary

Suffolk University in Boston seeks an Upward Bound Student Support Coordinator within the Center for First Generation and Educational Equity. The role supports outreach, recruitment, and records management for TRIO Upward Bound, coordinating trips, events, and workshops with partner schools and TRIO staff.

The position involves offsite visits and occasional travel for student trips and professional development, reporting to the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience OR five years' combined education/experience.
• Demonstrated ability working with low-income, first-generation, and/or at-risk students.
• Team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to manage social and digital media profiles and recruitment plans.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Proficiency in data entry, MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop).
• Experience with TRIO program databases (e.g., StudentAccess, Blumen/BlumenOnline, COE Empower).
• Familiarity with grant funded programs and federal/state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with outreach, recruitment, and program services development.
• Coordinate trips, events, college visits and educational activities.
• Create and update program materials, handbook, applications, and newsletters.
• Design and help lead workshops on admissions, financial aid, literacy, study skills, etc.
• Assist with student records, eligibility, service requests, and progress tracking.
• Support compliance reporting and related documentation for federal grants.
• Assist with other program initiatives to raise the program's visibility.
