Job summary

Sonoma State University seeks an Outreach Coordinator for the TRiO Upward Bound program. You will provide comprehensive academic advising and case management while coordinating outreach services for program participants.

Qualifications include a four-year degree, three years in student services, TRIO experience, and strong bilingual English/Spanish skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and PeopleSoft is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year college degree; master's may substitute for one year of experience.
• Three years of progressively responsible student services experience; TRIO/academic support preferred.
• Two years’ TRIO or similar program experience with low-income/first-generation students required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with computers; Word and Excel required; Google Suite and PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic advising to students and manage cases.
• Coordinate outreach services (recruitment, college placement, school outreach) for program participants.
• Collaborate with advisors, university staff, faculty and administrators to support student success.
