Job summary

Lone Star College-North Harris in Houston seeks a Coordinator I, Upward Bound (G) to provide academic support, advising and sociocultural exposure to low-income, first-generation students, promoting graduation and postsecondary degree attainment. This is a temporary, grant-funded role, contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience.
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
• Ability to prepare and analyze reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to Upward Bound students by coordinating academic and cultural activities.
• Advise and assist high school students on coursework, admissions, and long-term plans.
• Monitor progress and submit monthly advising reports; track transcripts and diplomas.
