Job summary

Bison Oil & Gas IV, LLC, a Denver-based upstream oil and gas exploration and production company, is seeking a Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue reporting and regulatory compliance. The role involves recording revenue, reporting, and facilitating timely payments to royalty and working interest owners in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a similar role, upstream oil & gas experience, and strong Excel/Office 365 skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance required.
• Upstream oil and gas experience is required.
• 3+ years in a revenue accounting or similar role.
• Proficient in Microsoft 360 / Excel and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly revenue allocations for operated properties.
• Process monthly payments for non-operated revenue.
• Assist in preparing and filing regulatory reports and severance / conservation tax reports with state and federal agencies.
• Facilitate ONRR royalty payments for company production from federal leases.
• Address inquiries from royalty and working interest owners regarding owner relations.
• Track revenue receipts to verify timely receipt of purchaser payments and ensure alignment with company's metered volumes.
• Coordinate the printing of monthly owner royalty statements and respond to royalty owner inquiries.
• Conduct monthly and ad-hoc analyses of realized pricing and product yields.
• Prepare revenue source documentation for audit requests and support special projects as required.
